Finding Ground Again

There are times we can get lost and it can feel so alone and overwhelming. These moments can feel like they will never end, but the truth is that these moments are temporary. Just like everything in life. Nothing remains the same.

I have found that our way home arrives when we slow down, when we pause, when we reconnect to our heart—to the things, even if they are little, the things that bring us softness, joy, and peace.

For me, it's coming back to my practice of yoga, meditation, music, reading, and writing. This combination always brings me back. I can name a few more like being in nature and painting, but I think you get the idea. These are my things that bring me back to my heart.

What are those things that bring you softness, joy, and peace?

Or perhaps you lean towards excitement, curiosity, and something else.

Whenever you feel lost, confused, or overwhelmed, lower your gaze or close your eyes. Try to recollect what has brought you what you seek today in the past. Is there a memory where you have experienced the emotional state you are seeking now? Take a few moments to pause and inquire.

Once you have found that memory, what can you do today to lean into those practices or experiences?

Begin slowly and gently, let it unfold naturally without force. Trust that your natural wisdom will guide you along the way.

Reconnecting to ourselves allows us to cultivate ground, safety, and trust—essential qualities to allow us to unfold into other qualities like fulfillment, happiness, and joy.

I hope that this note finds you well, my friend, and know that you are not alone.
